Troop 225 Logo BSA LogoCamping Program:
We maintain a 12-month camping program and structure our yearly shedule around the motto "Keep the outing in Scouting". Several boys and adults in the Troop have earned their twelve-month camping award. There are occasional non-camping outings and events added to our camping schedule as well. We attend summer camp at the H. Roe Bartle Reservation near Osceola, Missouri and spend most of our summers in Camp Sawmill. We have completed a cavalcade and two backpack treks at Philmont, had one high adventure at Sea Base, and one winter outing at Okpik.

Our supply of Troop tents is growing steadily and we have met our goal of one tent per pair of boys. Each Patrol has its own kitchen box with camp stove, utensils, cleaning products, and other supplies, and the Patrols normally cook independently on campouts. Weekend campouts usually begin Friday about 5:00pm and we may return Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. When we stay through Sunday morning, our Chaplain leads a church service, or we attend organized services led by the sponsoring organization (at summer camp, for example).

Boys earn beads for participating in events and our bead program includes approximately two dozen different beads that Scouts and Scouters may earn by attending Troop events.
