Steve Bay -- Advancement Coordinator

“Ed Davey asked me if I could help -1 hour per week; but the most important reason I am involved with this troop is that I really enjoyed Scouts as a boy. My father died when I was nine and scouting provided me an opportunity to make friends and experience the outdoors. Without scouting I would have never had those opportunities. Scouting and the scout leaders played a very important role in my life. “

Steve was a member of Order of the Arrow and a Life Scout in Troop 201 (Last Frontier Council, Oklahoma City, OK). His favorite Scouting Memory is the entire Summer Camp playing capture the flag and playing steal the bacon on Monday nights.

“I remember our senior patrol leader and how well he led our troop. He completed his Vigil in the Order of the Arrow, became an Eagle Scout (he was the only person I knew of that had become an Eagle until I started helping with Troop 225), and he was accepted into the military academy. I felt honored to be acquainted with him.”

Steve is Software Development Manager for DST Systems. He and his wife, Donna, enjoy snow skiing and church activities. Their daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, Kris, live in Yukon, OK, and they have two daughters. “Of course, our granddaughters are smarter, brighter, cheerier, and better behaved than any one else's grandchild. They are our littlest angels”.

“I hope I can add some level of value to our troop that will allow boys in Troop 225 to get the most from scouting. The boys in Troop 225 are some of the finest young men I've ever met.”
